Where is IFA Berlin and how do you get there?
IFA is held at Messe Berlin, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin, in the Charlottenburg district in the west of the city. The organiser recommends public transport, because city traffic is heavy on show days.
Your IFA ticket does not include free use of Berlin's S-Bahn, U-Bahn, buses or trams, so buy a separate transport ticket.

- U-Bahn: U2 to Kaiserdamm or Theodor-Heuss-Platz.
- Bus: lines M45, 104, 139, 218 and 349 serve Messe Berlin.
- Car: parking is available on site at Messe Berlin.
- Bike: racks across the venue and bike-sharing stations near the entrances.

Where are the IFA exhibitor list and floor plan?
The official exhibitor directory is at ifa-berlin.com/exhibitors. You can search by name and filter by show area, product category, hall and country or region. As of October 2026 it still shows the 2026 exhibitors; the 2027 list has not been published.
The venue map is at ifa-berlin.com/venue-map, currently marked as of July 2026 and subject to change. The IFA App adds live indoor navigation and a personal agenda. The organiser says the app is released in early August for trade visitors and by late August for the public.
Where should you stay for IFA Berlin?
Stay anywhere with a direct connection on the S-Bahn lines or the U2 that the organiser lists for Messe Berlin in Charlottenburg. Berlin has around 800 hotels with over 130,000 beds, according to Messe Berlin, but early September fills up, so book as soon as you know your dates.
Messe Berlin points visitors to its hotel booking partner and to visitBerlin, the city's tourism office. For 2026, trade visitor tickets also came with special hotel and travel deals from the organiser.
Tips for trade visitors and buyers at IFA
- Use Friday morning: until 12:00 only trade visitors are in the halls.
- Book 1:1 meetings in the IFA App before you arrive. The organiser says more than 14,500 meetings were arranged this way at IFA 2025.
- If you are sourcing products, plan a separate trip to IFA Global Markets at STATION-Berlin, 4 to 6 September 2027.
- Register with your own email address, not a shared team inbox, or the app's trade features will not work.
- Bring a card for payments, since cash is not accepted, and a separate public transport ticket.
Tips for exhibitors at IFA
- Exhibitor enquiries for IFA 2027 go through the organiser's form at ifa-berlin.com/exhibit; startups can apply to exhibit in IFA Next.
- Expect two audiences: trade visitors from 09:30 and the public from 10:00 or 12:00. Plan stand staffing and demos for both.
- Press matters at IFA: the organiser counted 5,200+ media attendees and 47 press conferences in 2026. IFA Media Days are on 1 and 2 September 2027.
- Decide before the show how you will capture visitors who are not in the IFA App, including the public and contacts you meet off the stand.
How do you get from BER airport to IFA Berlin?
The simplest way is the S-Bahn line S9 from the airport station, which runs every 20 minutes and continues across the city to the west; IFA lists the S9 for Messe Süd and Westkreuz, both next to the grounds. The airport station, Flughafen BER, is directly under Terminal 1 on level U2; from Terminal 2, go to arrivals level E0 and follow the signs.
The alternative is the Airport Express FEX to Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), then the S-Bahn west to Messe Süd or Westkreuz, or the U2 to Kaiserdamm or Theodor-Heuss-Platz. Your IFA ticket does not cover public transport, so buy a Berlin ABC ticket: the airport is in fare zone C.
The organiser does not list a shuttle bus from the airport or from hotels. For door-to-door rides, IFA names ride-hailing and car-sharing partners on its Plan your visit page, some with discounts for visitors.
What services are there at Messe Berlin during IFA?
- Wi-Fi: free Wi-Fi on the grounds, according to the organiser.
- Cloakrooms: available at the venue.
- Charging: phone charging stations across the venue, signposted.
- Payment: cash is not accepted anywhere at IFA; all major credit and debit cards are.
- Trade visitors: the IFA Trade Visitor Lounge opens at 08:00, entered through the Messe Süd entrance, and the halls open to trade visitors at 09:30.
- Accessibility: Messe Berlin is fully accessible, and visitors with disabilities get one free ticket for a companion.
How do exhibitors ship goods to and from IFA?
Kühne+Nagel is the official and exclusive logistics provider for IFA. It handles international transport to and from the show, permanent and temporary customs clearance, on-site storage and empty-container storage, and it is the only company allowed to use forklifts and other lifting equipment on the Messe Berlin grounds.
Contact Kühne+Nagel at Customer.Event@kuehne-nagel.com.
Getting online in Berlin: SIM cards and Wi-Fi
The organiser offers free Wi-Fi on the grounds. If you want a German prepaid SIM, bring your passport: German law requires the mobile operator to check the buyer's identity against an ID document before a prepaid SIM is activated.
