Where is MEDICA and how do you get there?
MEDICA is held at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds in the north of Düsseldorf, address Am Staad, 40474 Düsseldorf. MEDICA uses Halls 1, 3 to 7.0, 7a, 7.1, 10 to 12 and 15 to 17; COMPAMED is in Halls 8a and 8b.
By light rail, the U78 stops at MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe Nord, and the U78, U79, U80 and bus 722 stop at Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße. Düsseldorf Central Station and Heinrich-Heine-Allee in the city centre have direct connections to the fair.
Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) is about 3 km away. The U80 runs from the airport terminal to Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße, and the U81 runs from the terminal to Messe Nord in about seven minutes on selected event days. Both lines started on 4 September 2026. A taxi between the airport and any fair entrance costs a fixed 25 euros.
By car, leave the A44 at junction 29 Messe/Arena and follow signs to car parks P1 and P2, where free shuttle buses go to the entrances. Parking is paid cashless or booked in advance online.
Public transport is not included in the MEDICA ticket. Buy a Rheinbahn or VRR ticket, or a DüsseldorfCard, for the ride to the fair.
How much are MEDICA 2026 tickets, and how do you register?
A one-day ticket costs 50 euros online and 95 euros on site; a season ticket for all four days costs 150 euros online and 275 euros on site. Tickets are not tied to a date, and each ticket also gives entry to COMPAMED.
MEDICA is for trade visitors only, so every visitor must register in the Messe Düsseldorf ticket shop with their own email address and password. Tickets cannot be cancelled or returned, and names cannot be changed once issued. Exhibitors can send voucher codes to their customers, which are redeemed in the same shop.

Who exhibits at MEDICA and what is on show?
MEDICA covers the whole range of medical technology and healthcare products for hospitals, practices and home care, while COMPAMED covers the suppliers behind them: components, microtechnology, sensors, materials, packaging and contract manufacturing. In 2025 there were 4,821 MEDICA exhibitors and 763 COMPAMED exhibitors from 70 countries.
For 2026 the organiser has restructured MEDICA into five main product categories and arranged the halls by theme. Hall 17 becomes the Digital Health Hub. Special areas include the MEDICA START-UP PARK and the Hospital of the Future, with forums, stages and conferences alongside the fair.

Where is the MEDICA 2026 exhibitor list and hall plan (Ausstellerverzeichnis, Hallenplan)?
The official exhibitor directory is under Exhibitors & Products > All Exhibitors & Products 2026 on medica-tradefair.com (German: Aussteller & Produkte on medica.de). You can search by company name and filter by product category.
The hall plan is under Visit > Preparation > Hall & site plans (German: Hallen- und Geländepläne). The site plan shows the eight thematic areas as a PDF, and the interactive hall plan finds any exhibitor's hall and stand, filters exhibitors by country and plans a walking route between stands with walking times.
The free MEDICA app for iOS and Android has the same exhibitor search and hall plan, also offline. Bookmark exhibitors in the free MyOrganizer area to build your visit list.
Where to stay for MEDICA: hotels in Düsseldorf
The organiser's hotel partner is KUONI Tumlare Congress, which books hotels in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area through the HotelMap platform.
The city centre is a practical base: Heinrich-Heine-Allee and the Central Station have direct light rail connections to the fair. Hotels near the airport are linked to the grounds by the U80 and U81. Messe Düsseldorf also offers cabins on KD hotel ships moored in the city centre.
If Düsseldorf is full, Neuss, Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and Moers are about 30 minutes from the grounds by car, and Cologne about an hour, according to the venue. The DüsseldorfCard covers buses and trains in Düsseldorf for 24 to 96 hours, and the DüsseldorfCard Plus covers the wider VRR and VRS area.
Tips for visiting MEDICA
- Buy an eTicket in advance: a day ticket costs 50 euros online against 95 euros at the desk.
- Plan by hall theme in the interactive hall plan; the grounds are large and you will not see every hall in one day.
- Use the exhibitor profile button "Exhibitor may contact me" or Fair Match to set up meetings before the fair.
- Thursday closes at 16:00, two hours earlier than the other days.
- Cloakrooms at the entrances are free and open 1.5 hours before the halls; suitcases and trolleys are allowed.
- Buy your public transport ticket separately; it is not included in the MEDICA ticket.
- If you need a Schengen visa, the eTicket is one of the documents the organiser lists; no invitation letter is needed.
Tips for exhibitors at MEDICA
- Fill in your exhibitor profile early in the exhibitor dashboard; visitors search the directory by product category.
- Send voucher codes to customers through the Visitor Voucher Code Manager so they register before the fair.
- Stand build-up runs from 10 November 2026 (07:30) to 15 November 2026 (22:00); dismantling starts on 19 November at 16:00.
- Exhibitor passes are personal, one per email address, and can be printed or shown on a phone.
- Plan how you will record stand visitors: the organiser sells Scan2Lead badge scanning, and business cards still need capturing.
- Book follow-up time for the week after the fair, while visitors still remember your stand.
Do you need to collect a badge at MEDICA?
No. Your MEDICA eTicket is your entry pass: you receive it as a PDF after buying or redeeming a voucher, and you can print it or show it on your phone at the entrance. The organiser lists no badge collection desk for visitors who arrive with an eTicket.
The ticket is personal. The name cannot be changed once the ticket is issued; for corrections, write to ticket@messe-duesseldorf.de. The visitor hotline is +49 211 4560-7600. Tickets bought online are cheaper than at the desk and, in the organiser's words, give direct access without waiting time.
What services are there at Messe Düsseldorf during MEDICA?
- Cloakrooms: free of charge, open 1.5 hours before the halls, and they take luggage as well as coats.
- Food: restaurants, snack bars, bistros and take-away across the grounds, and you may bring your own food and drinks in a rucksack.
- First aid: the fair ambulance is at the North Entrance, Hall 7, ground floor, phone +49 211 4560-231.
- Wheelchairs: standard wheelchairs are lent free of charge and electric ones cost 20 euros; book ahead at rollstuhlverleih@messe-duesseldorf.de. The grounds are barrier-free.
- Wi-Fi: Messe Düsseldorf runs Wi-Fi hotspots with Deutsche Telekom across all halls and outside them. The organiser does not say whether visitor access is free.
- Parking: book online at messe-parken-duesseldorf.de or pay by card on site. Disabled badge holders park free in P1 and P2, and there are 19 electric charging points in six locations.
How do you ship samples or stand material to and from MEDICA?
Messe Düsseldorf's official logistics partner is DSV Fairs & Events, based on the grounds at Stockumer Kirchstraße 61. It handles transport to and from the stand in Germany, Europe and overseas, customs clearance, storage, forklifts and exhibition insurance.
Contact DSV Fairs & Events on +49 211 436280 or fairs.duesseldorf@dsv.com. Dismantling starts on Thursday 19 November at 16:00.
Getting online in Düsseldorf: SIM cards and Wi-Fi
Bring your passport if you plan to buy a German prepaid SIM card. German law requires the mobile operator to check the buyer's identity against an ID document before a prepaid SIM is activated, so a card bought without ID will not work.
On the grounds, the Deutsche Telekom Wi-Fi hotspots cover all halls. Exhibitors who need a reliable connection for a stand can book a Business Hotspot through Messe Düsseldorf; setting up your own access point is not allowed.
How to capture contacts at MEDICA with DaGaMa
With DaGaMa's BoothBot you photograph a business card in WhatsApp, Telegram or WeChat, and the contact lands in a Google Sheet shared with you. If a badge carries a QR code with contact details, the bot reads that too. Add a voice note after each conversation and it is attached to the lead. The first 24 hours are free from your first scan.
