Working NY NOW Summer 2026 for the first time.

1,000 exhibitors, 22,000 attendees, and a rhythm you only learn by working it. Here's what matters — for the booth side and the buying side — plus the New York, NY logistics nobody puts in the brochure.

If you're exhibiting

New exhibitor tips

01

Book the neighborhood, not just the booth

NY NOW is organized into product destinations — where you sit determines which buyers walk past. Ask your sales rep which section your category actually belongs to, and push for proximity to an anchor brand rather than raw square footage.

02

Javits freight is unforgiving

Manhattan loading docks and union labor rules mean the advance-warehouse deadline is not a suggestion. Ship early to the advance warehouse; show-site deliveries at Javits routinely get stuck behind everyone else's.

03

Order-writing is the culture

This is a wholesale order show: buyers come with open-to-buy budgets. Have line sheets, wholesale terms, and MOQs printable AND scannable — many buyers photograph everything and decide at the hotel.

04

Capture every badge the moment they stop

Midtown draws drop-in store owners who browse fast. If a conversation is thirty seconds, that's still a lead — a badge scan with a one-line voice note beats a business card in a fishbowl.

05

Work the reorder angle

Half of NY NOW attendance is repeat retail buyers restocking. A "reorder in 90 seconds" pitch converts better here than a brand story.

New visitor tips

01

Register before you fly

Trade registration is free in advance and slower on-site. Bring retail credentials (business card, resale certificate photo, store photos) — first-time buyers get vetted.

02

Plan by destination, not by aisle

The floor is grouped into lifestyle sections. Mark the two or three sections that match your store and do them completely rather than sampling everything shallowly.

03

Write orders on day one and two

Popular makers' show specials and delivery slots go early. Day three is for follow-ups and second looks, not discovery.

04

Photograph the line sheet WITH the booth number

By Thursday every white booth blurs together. Photo of product + line sheet + booth sign, together, every time.

05

Use the city between sessions

Many exhibiting brands have NYC showrooms or stockists — a quick store visit turns a booth impression into shelf reality before you commit an order.

How the days flow

  • —Sunday (opening): heaviest buyer traffic, strongest energy — bring full staff.
  • —Monday: order-writing day; appointments stack up, aisles stay busy through mid-afternoon.
  • —Tuesday (final): quieter aisles, best day for competitor walks, reorder conversations, and end-of-show deals; floor starts breaking down fast after lunch.

New York, NY logistics

Getting there

Javits Center, 11th Ave & 35th St. The 7 train to 34 St–Hudson Yards is two blocks away; crosstown walk from Penn Station takes ~15 minutes. Taxis at closing time queue long — walk a block east first.

Hotels

Midtown West fills at show rates; look at Long Island City (one stop on the 7) or Hudson Yards' newer stock for saner prices. Book the official block early if you want walking distance.

Food

Javits concessions queue badly at 12:30. Hudson Yards food hall is ten minutes away; better, eat at 11:30 or 14:00 and use the lunch rush for uncrowded aisle time.

The tip every guide agrees on

Capture at the booth. Never "the stack for later."

Whichever side of the aisle you work at NY NOW Summer 2026, DaGaMa turns photos of cards, badges, and products into a structured Google Sheet you own — in WhatsApp, Telegram, or WeChat. Free for your first 24 hours.
